Is it Christmas YET???

Christmas is fast approaching and we have one excited little girl at our home. She is so excited and asks us several times a day if tomorrow is Christmas. The past few weeks have been very busy for all of us. But we've had a lot of fun too, we were able to take Kodi to ride the Polar Express! We started in Heber city and made it all the way to the North Pole and back in 2 hours, she met santa and told him what she wanted for Christmas.
Devin and McKade hung the Christmas lights, you can tell from one of the pictures I included that at one point, the pitch of the roof was so steep that Devin tied a rope around his waste and gave McKade the other end to hang on to incase Devin lost his footing - the funny thing is, if Devin would have fallen, he'd have pulled McKade down with him.

We had Thanksgiving in Garland with Dev's family where Kodi was bucked off a horse named Cocoa - ok, it was a pony but it was still a far fall to the ground and she did a complete flip in the air! She tells everyone she is a "real cowgirl" now.

We had an early Christmas party with the Stowe brothers and sisters last week,Uncle Rich went to Peru for a couple weeks to work at a hospital in the Amazon and Devin and I are both jealous of the "life experience" he is having - from the pictures it looks amazing!
Devin just finished his last paper for the semester and has one more final to take this next week. Then...we have one more semester till he graduates. (3 classes to be exact!) I am so proud of him and can't wait for him to be finished. We will be having one gianormous party when he's done!
Happy Holidays !!!

It's almost HALLOWEEN!

It's almost HALLOWEEN!

Kodi's going to be a BYU cheerleader. We found her a cheerleader outfit at the BYU bookstore and she's been dressing up the for the past month. She loves to go to the BYU campus for ice cream at the creamery or to go bowling. We took her there a few years ago to get a book for one of Devin's classes and directly across from the bookstore is a large open area that the dance class students use to practice. She was so captivated with their dancing that we had to stand and watch them for nearly an hour. Since then, we have been back a few different times and have again (coincidentally) seen dancers. The last time we went, there was a ballroom dancing banquet going on, and we were watching from outside the room when some of the dancers invited us in to come in and observe. Kodi was in heaven. She wants to go to BYU when she grows up; mainly because she thinks all they do there is dance, cheer and play football. She calls her pom-pom's "who-who-rahs" which I think is really cute. Go BYU!!! "Give me a B, Give me a Y, Give me a U" - sometimes she even gets the letters in the correct order.
I am now working at a company in American Fork called Bidsync as a Trainer, and Devin is working to finish up 4 of his last 7 classes with UVU and working at Cardwell in Midvale. We're living in Spanish Fork and hoping to move a little further north in the near future.

More then a year later...

It's been a long time since I we have updated our Blog! I am committing to do better because Kodi loves to see the blogs of our families and friends.

Kodi is in Gymnastics, we go every Thursday. She LOVES it. Each day when she wakes up she asks us, "Is it Sursday yet?" She got a trophy for participating this past Spring and she carried it around for the first week showing everyone. I finally talked her into retiring the trophy to the bookshelf so that it wouldn't get broken.

She is such a special girl. Devin and I took her swimming to the Spanish Fork pool a few Saturdays ago, and she had a blast. I have been able to take her back a couple times since then too. She is a dare devil, and has no fear. She always asks if she can jump off the diving board, she doesn't understand she can't swim.
